Outreach

Care Net Pregnancy Center

We are supporting Care Net Pregnancy Center financially and prayerfully. Care Net is a local ministry, supported by many churches that provides services to those who may be considering abortion as an option or may not know where to turn. It is a Biblically based ministry that has at it’s heart the eternal welfare of those who are looking for help and standing in the gap for unborn children.

IFC - Indonesia

International Friends of Compassion is a ministry based here in Fairbanks that has it’s field of operations in Indonesia. Relief for suffering Christians, medical care and health training, and a growing international school are some of the priorities of this ministry. Of course, many opportunities come to share the good news of Jesus Christ and that is the icing on the cake. We support this organization financially and have had the joy of having some at the church go and be a part of this mission for a few weeks. Dan Holmgren attends The Shelter Bible Church and is on the board for IFC. We are blessed to have his influence among us.

Sam and Shanthi in India

Sam and his wife are Indian by birth and have been sent out from a local church to establish a  Christian witness in a needy section of their city. We have met Sam and ministered with him. He wears his heart for God on his sleeve. His faith is evident to all and we consider it an honor to assist him in reaching children and adults for Christ.

Josiah Venture, Czech Republic

Sam Hust is with Josiah Venture and has been involved in church planting, discipleship, evangelism, and most recently reaching university students at the University of Zlin. We have worked with Sam in Czech, and he visited us in March of 2010 and the whole church got to know him. It is an honor to assist him in the ministry that God has given him and his wife Sarka.

The Strocks also minister through Josiah Venture. For six years, Greg led Summer English camps, taught in the internship program for Czech youth group leaders, served as the youth pastor of his local church in Tábor, and discipled young men. Kori first came to Czech on a short-term mission team in the summer of 2011. While there, she felt God reaffirming His call to full-time youth ministry. Two weeks later, while serving at a JV English camp, Greg and Kori began dating.  On June 3rd, 2012 in Fairbanks, Alaska Greg and Kori were married.  After spending a year in the US raising support and preparing for the mission field, Greg and Kori are now living in the city of Havířov, Czech Republic where they are working with their local church. Their hearts burn for Czech youth to come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
